Platform
What is UAVPROG?
UAVPROG is a complete drone programming education platform: interactive lessons, block-based and Python coding, a web simulator and real PMINI and PMAXI drones that run the same programs.
Do students need coding experience?
No. Students start with visual blocks, so they focus on how programs work rather than on syntax, and then move naturally to Python.
Do we need to install anything?
No. Lessons, the block editor, Python and the 3D simulator run in the browser in UAVPROG Academy. The ground station app for Android is used to fly the drone, watch the camera and replay flight logs.
Which programming languages are supported?
Blocks and Python on PMINI. PMAXI adds Linux development with Python, C++ and ROS 2 directly on its Raspberry Pi 5.
Can teachers follow the progress of the class?
Yes. The instructor's view shows completion, the average score and the results of every student, and students see their own assignments, courses and experience points.
Can we create our own lessons?
Yes. The lesson editor lets you create and format lessons, add images and embed YouTube videos.
Drones
What is the difference between PMINI and PMAXI?
PMINI is a ready-to-fly classroom drone with an STM32 flight controller, an ESP32 onboard computer, optical flow and a range sensor. PMAXI is a 4-inch developer kit built around a Raspberry Pi 5 with ROS 2, PX4 and ArduPilot, dual cameras and expandable sensor interfaces, for advanced robotics projects.
Can the drones fly indoors without GPS?
Yes. Both drones use optical flow to hold position indoors, in classrooms, labs and gym floors. It works best on textured floors with even lighting.
Is PMINI safe for a classroom?
PMINI has a protection guard around each of the four propellers, which keeps students, walls and the drone itself safe during indoor flights.
Can students practise without a drone?
Yes. Every program can run first in the physics-based 3D simulator in the browser, then on the real drone through the same platform.
What comes with PMAXI?
The drone kit, an ELRS receiver, a 4S battery with a charger, a microSD card with the PMAXI software image, a camera, propellers, 3D-printed parts, tools and the online build guide.
Courses and teaching
Who is UAVPROG for?
High-school STEM classes, universities, AI and computer vision courses and developer labs. PMINI suits first-time learners, PMAXI suits advanced robotics projects.
Is there a ready course?
Yes. Autonomous UAV Engineering with PMAXI is a structured course of 84 academic hours in 32 lesson units, and 69% of it is practical work. Ask us for the syllabus.
Do you train teachers?
Yes. We help your team plan the course, set up the drones and run the first lessons, and we support academic projects.
Ordering and support
How do I get a price?
Send us a message with the number of students and the drones you are interested in, and we will prepare a quote for your school or lab.
Can we use the platform without drones?
Yes. The Platform Only bundle includes the lessons, block and Python coding and the web simulator for your whole class. You can add PMINI or PMAXI later.
How do we get support?
Write to info@uavprog.com or call +972-54-788-5756, Monday to Friday, 6 am to 8 pm EST.
Still have a question?
